Dr. Alphonso Brady, Sr., a native of Mobile, Alabama, has served as the senior pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church of Mauvilla for over 37 years. He is married to Cathy Y. Brady, and together they have three children—Alicia Wright, Dr. Tamara Warner, and A.J. Brady, Jr.—as well as four cherished grandchildren: Jacob Wright, Brooklin Warner, Bricen Warner, and Jayson Wright.

Before entering ministry, Dr. Brady served four years in the U.S. Army and later worked for over 21 years as an Instrumentation and Electrical Supervisor at Degussa Chemical. Called to the Gospel ministry in 1980 and ordained in 1983, he began his pastoral journey as Youth Minister at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Whistler, Alabama, from 1981 to 1988. He was called to lead Mount Olive Baptist Church on June 5, 1988.

Dr. Brady is committed to both ministry and education. A graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School in 1973, he left his career in 1998 to focus on full-time ministry and further his education. He earned a B.S. in Religion from the University of Mobile in 1999, a Master of Divinity with a focus on Urban Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the same institution in 2012.

Dr. Brady is a devoted servant of the Lord, passionate about teaching and preaching the mysteries of the Gospel. His leadership continues to inspire the Mount Olive congregation to grow in faith, knowledge, and service.
